The Power of dreams

Cafe Racer Culture (NSFW)

4HRS Liege

More HERE.

Misc. Bikes.

It's been a busy week, but I'm back with regular(ish) updates.

Lucifer’s Hammer II

As I've said before, a HD needs flatslides. And a proper chassis, and no chome or tassels.

Then you have a decent machine.

XVR 750

Finally some progress on my Cafe Racer.

For the past couple of weeks I've been pushing hard to get the swaingarm done. It's a FZR400RR swingarm, chopped to bits and adapted for a shaftdrive. The rear wheel is off the same FZR and has also been adapted for a shaftdrive.

Yesterday was the first time that I had a chance to offer it up to the frame and see if my questimations were anywhere near correct.

Well, looks like we're getting somewhere. Next up is to build a welding jig and then we can really get a boogie on.

Tuned 850 engine with 4 valve head. Should be a load of fun.

Alfa Beast

The internet is a great place. Full of things you could only or never dream off. The Alfa Beast is one of those things. I first encouterd it in 2005 somewhere I think, maybe 2006. I got the link through an e-mail from a friend, all it said was "This is so insane", and it is. A 2.5ltr V6 Alfa powered Harley. The pictures scared me.

At the same time, the internet is a frustrating place. Back then I wasn't as fluent in googeling, and the information on the Alfa Beast was (and still is) scarce. After a few half hearted attempts to find some more info I gave up, right-clicked, saved as and forgot about it.

Untill about 15 minutes ago. Browsing through my "Misc" this came by. A nostalgic wave hit me, it is still an insane thing. A quick and more fluent google throws up some more pictures and info.

For now, just sit back and relax in awe.

Still not alot of info is available. Alittle on The Kneeslider and some more pics on  Duc Cutters.

Hazan Motorworks - Bullet 500

I try to not repost too much stuff from other blogs, and especially not from the big sites like Bike Exif and Pipe Burn. Not that I have any objections against them, but the stuff they post has been seen by the world, so why should I repost it.

Well, every now and again a bike crosses my path that leaves me in awe.

It's one of those bikes that has captured the elusive balance of style and over the top. It's one of the rare bikes that just screams class and dedication. A bike that makes the aweful firestone tyres look classy. It makes my own projects seem slightly incompetent and at the same time fills me with inspiration for my own victims.

It's an utterly stunning bike.

Spotted at Pipe Burn. Check out the entire article for more info.

And, ofcourse, check out Hazan's own facebook page for good build pics.
